Research Interests:
Research interests are in the broad area of molecular and cellular mechanisms regulating local Ca2+ signaling in muscle, neurons, and immune cells. Organization and function of macromolecular signaling complexes known as ryanodine receptors and how environmental chemicals including PCB's, PBDE's, and triclosan, influence developmental toxicity through these complexes. Gene-environment interactions influencing susceptability in autism and related disorders are studied in mice possessing missense mutations known to contribute susceptibility to human disease.
